Look at the picture and what are they doing.

  1. What is Mr. Johnson doing? Mr Johnson is reading a book
  2. Is Mrs. Johnson watching TV? No Mrs Johnson is talking on the phone
  3. Where are the children sitting? The children are sitting on the floor
  4. What are the children doing? The chidren are watching TV
  5. Is their grandmother reading or watching TV? Their grandmother is watching TV

Example: They are having lunch. Are they having lunch? They aren’t having lunch.

  1. Father is reading newspapers. Is father reading newspapers? Father isn’t reading newspapers
  2. The family are watching TV. Are the family watching TV? The family aren’t watching TV.
  3. Paul’s grandmother is knitting. Is Paul’s grandmother knitting? Paul’s grandmother isn’t knitting.
  4. My cousin plays chess well. Does my cousin play chess well? my cousin doesn’t play chess well.
  5. They know interesting things about animals. Do they know interesting things about animals? they don’t know interesting things about animals.
  6. They are playing in the room. Are they playing in the room? They aren’t playing in the room.

Example: She is a doctor.
She isn’t a doctor.

  1. She studies at school. She doesn’t study at school
  2. Kate is swimming in the river. Kate isn’t swimming in the river
  3. Aunt Mary has got a daughter. Aunt Mary hasn’t got a daughter.
  4. Make up sentences. Don’t make up sentences.
  5. The boys are playing in the yard. The boys aren’t playing in the yard
  6. They live in London. They don’t live in London
  7. The Browns have supper at home. .The Browns don’t have supper at home
